The old games were hack and slash games that don’t come close to comparing with this new direction the series has taken. I’ve played 1 and 3 and couldn’t finish either, just had no desire and nothing grabbed me. New god of war is amazing and wasting time on those old games will probably not be worth your time. I thought the first god of war was the best of the original trilogy in terms of story but gow3 was no joke. Go back and play that game. I’m not sure how the ps3 survived that game.
